European Partnership for Resilient Cultural Heritage starts: joint research calls to come

An event of interest, organised by the Fondation des Sciences du Patrimoine and Mucem. It is not a Participio event; we share it because it matters for participatory work.

The European Partnership for Resilient Cultural Heritage held its kick-off event in Marseille on 29 September 2026. The event was organised by the Fondation des Sciences du Patrimoine, the coordinator of the partnership, together with Mucem, the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations.

The partnership is a ten-year initiative to structure and coordinate research where cultural heritage and climate change meet. According to the organisers, 90 partners from 30 countries in Europe and beyond will launch transnational joint calls for research projects, accompanied by capacity building, impact monitoring and networking. The total budget is EUR 215 million, of which EUR 65 million comes from the European Union.

Why it matters here. For researchers and organisations working with communities on heritage, these joint calls will be a funding route next to Horizon Europe Cluster 2. No call dates were given in the announcement.
